The Land Policy of Laos

      According to the land law of Laos, the lands within the territory belong to the state. The maximum periods for the foreign investors to rent the land should not exceed 50 years from the government and 30 years from the private individuals.

      The Land Policy of the SCDZ
      According to the No.2351 Regulation of the Licence of the Right to Use the State-owned Land, issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment of Laos on September 8, 2015, the right to use the lands of the SCDZ should be 70 years. The land use right of 99 years is still unconfirmed, but efforts are made to try to get it authorized. 
      The SCDZ can handle the land leasing and transfer for enterprises in the Zone.
