Japan's HOYA Group, a world-renowned manufacturer of optical lenses and a leading global supplier of optical instruments and innovative high-tech products, is planning to invest US$300 million in the project, which will cover an area of about 20 hectares, to build a factory with Laos' most advanced manufacturing capacity and technology, mainly for the production of glass storage disks for computer hard disks. The project is the largest Japanese company in Laos and is capable of creating more than 5,000 jobs with an annual production value of up to US$300 million.
