Recently, Mr. Li Maoguo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), and his delegation investigated the Vientiane Sai Sai Sai Serta Comprehensive Development Zone. Mr. Xiong Jun, General Manager of Lao-China Joint Investment Co., Ltd. and relevant persons in charge of the development zone accompanied the research.

Li Maoguo visited Zhongrun Photovoltaic Technology (Laos) Co., Ltd. and Baidu Garment Group's Laos factory, and learned in detail about the latest investment construction and investment attraction situation in the development zone, affirmed the construction progress and operation management of the development zone, and carried out in-depth exchanges with the project investment units on the development zone's industrial upgrading, capacity cooperation and other fields. He said that after the opening of China-Laos Railway, the attractiveness of the development zone for investment attraction has increased significantly, and that the development zone will join hands with colleges and universities and other specialized forces to jointly explore paths and initiatives for industrial development, help Chinese enterprises going out to continuously improve their core competitiveness and influence, and empower them to achieve high-quality development.

Vientiane Sai Serta Comprehensive Development Zone (VSCDZ), a national-level cooperation project signed by the governments of China and Laos, is a national-level special economic zone in Laos and China's only offshore economic and trade cooperation zone in Laos, which has been highly valued and supported by both governments. There are 137 enterprises in the development zone, of which 70 have been completed and put into operation.In 2019, the development zone was officially included as one of the 10 low-carbon demonstration zones carried out by China in developing countries.
